About the event
After successfully sending the British back to Boston in the aftermath of Lexington and Concord, Patriot forces sought to gain control of the hills surrounding Boston Harbor before the British could. By the morning of June 17, 1775, Colonial forces had managed to create redoubts on Breed's Hill, occupied Bunker Hill, and created fortified lines across the bay in Charlestown. Come to the St. Charles County Heritage Museum to learn about who won, who had more casualties, and why it's called the Battle of Bunker Hill if it really mostly happened on Breed's Hill!
This program is for ages 12 and up.
